Rachel Reeves argues that she hasn't heard anyone propose different solutions to her economic strategies (Report, December 20). She should take a look at the letters section in the Guardian. If I were the prime minister, that would be my top priority to read every morning. Eddie Ross, Colchester

Great job, Zoe Williams, for relying on a reliable method of navigation (Can I manage for 24 hours without GPS?, December 21). I still use an old A-Z map and was surprised to learn that newer versions lack essential street information. I was saddened to learn about the passing of Eddie Stobart (Obituary, December 18). Am I the only father who kept his kids entertained during long trips by having them count the number of Stobart trucks they spotted, compared to the Nobbies from Norbert Dentressangle?
