The King went to the church close to Balmoral to pray and reflect in honor of his mother Queen Elizabeth II on the second anniversary of her passing.

Charles and Queen Camilla arrived at Crathie Kirk, a church where the late Queen used to attend regularly and worship devoutly, on Royal Deeside. It was a sunny late summer day as they attended the Sunday morning service, marking two years since Charles became king.

The King was visible, sitting in the back seat of the red state Bentley with Camilla next to him as they drove to the place of worship at 11:25am with the window slightly open.

The car inched its way up the brief driveway, passing by the classic red phone booth situated on the intersection.

Camilla was wearing a green jacket with red and green plaid lapels and a green hat with a feather. She smiled at the photographers and camera crews as she sat with her handbag on her lap.

The King, wearing a grey jacket with a pink flower pinned to it, was seen fixing his sleeves as he got ready for an emotional ceremony.

One of the few supporters who came to see the king was Diane Brandish, a traveler from Christchurch, New Zealand, who was visiting Scotland.

Kind King Meets Crowds At Crathie Kirk

Diana and her husband spotted the King greeting the crowd with a friendly wave as he made his way into the church, describing him as "extremely kind."

She was pleasantly surprised to see the King during her holiday, calling it a nice extra surprise. She mentioned, "We were passing by and I didn't know that King Charles would be here."

She said, "Many New Zealanders are interested in the royal family and know about the anniversary."

The monarch, aged 75, has been residing at his property in Aberdeenshire, where the former Queen passed away peacefully at the age of 96 on September 8, 2022.

This past weekend, the monarch made an appearance at the Braemar Gathering.

People have shown respect and admiration for the Queen, who has passed away, to commemorate the anniversary. Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer praised the "70 magnificent years of her rule".

"Today is the two-year anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's passing," stated Sir Keir in a social media post.

The Queen showed us that no matter what difficulties the UK and Commonwealth may go through, the importance of serving others will always remain.

"For 70 wonderful years of her rule, she was the center of this country's existence. Today we pay tribute to her legacy."
