Sam Field netted two goals, leading QPR to their second straight home win and maintaining four clean sheets in a row. Here’s our assessment of each Rangers player following the 2-0 triumph over Oxford United.
Once again, a reliable performance. In the first half, a standard save stood out, while in the second half, he excelled at catching a high ball.
Impressive performance. He was dependable as a right-back and provided outstanding support in the center whenever he had to step in.
Stay relaxed and collected, yet ready to spring into action at the first sign of trouble. He demonstrated this perfectly when he made an impressive intervention after Liam Morrison made an error, ultimately saving the day.
Although there may be occasional mistakes, he has been quite impressive and continues to stand out, especially with Jake Clarke-Salter not in the lineup.
Ashby has had a challenging time during his loan period, mainly because he has often been used as an improvised left-back. Last night was another difficult experience for him in that position, and he struggled with ball control, losing possession multiple times.
Played solidly in a defensive midfield position. However, can find it challenging when there's a need to quickly progress the ball upfield.
Although he hasn't always been effective in a higher position, he came through this time, netting two goals—first with his favored left foot and then with his right—and nearly achieving a hat-trick.
Madsen has undergone a noticeable transformation since his last performances. He has shifted from rarely challenging for the ball—sometimes not even attempting to tackle—to actively engaging in tackles. However, this newfound aggression seems to have come at the expense of his passing skills, which used to be a strong point for him. He seemed to lack focus when he had possession before he was substituted in the second half.
Put in a lot of effort on the side and provided the assist that resulted in the crucial first goal.
Consistently energetic on the left side, he assisted in the second goal by passing to Field after stealing the ball from defender Peter Kioso. He also nearly scored himself with a shot that just missed the target.
He netted two goals against Norwich on Saturday, although it was partly thanks to poor goalkeeping from their side. However, this performance might have been even more important. Kolli showcased great skills all around, including his movement and ability to connect with teammates, which was impressive given his lack of experience. His leap at the far post to nod the ball down for Field to volley in the first goal was truly remarkable.
Energetic after entering the game halfway through the second half to take over for Kolli.
Made a shot that was saved shortly after coming onto the field.
