On the 14th of January 2024, West London Sport reported the following information.
QPR is still in the second-last position of the Championship league and they are five points away from securing their safety due to their latest loss.
Lyndon Dykes' goal gave them hope after Jake Livermore's two goals, but they couldn't score another to tie the game.
The Rangers team didn't capitalize on several opportunities before Livermore managed to score two powerful goals within a span of five minutes in the second half.
During the course of the game, Jack Colback had a prime opportunity to tie up the score, but unfortunately missed when his shot veered off target.
Dykes hit the back of the net on the opposite side of the goal after Paul Smyth's pass was redirected and flew over Ben Hamer.
Hamer, the goalkeeper, made an excellent save to block Jimmy Dunne's shot during the added time, preventing QPR from getting a draw.
