ZHENGZHOU, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- Hanfu, the historical Han Chinese outfit, is making its comeback in modern-day China. More and more young people regard it both as a new fashion and a tribute to tradition.

Wang Jingjing came across the Hanfu culture in 2017, fell in love with it, and is now a professional Hanfu stylist with her own studio. Her duties include applying traditional makeup, styling hair, and preparing hair accessories. On occasions like Qixi, the Chinese version of Valentine's Day, many of her clients want to dress up in Hanfu and have beautiful photos taken.

"Good Hanfu stylists also need a solid understanding of culture and history to identify subtle changes in dressing styles of different eras," said Wang. "Only then can they present the authentic beauty of the traditional clothing."
