Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, aged 69, pulled up in a car at the front of Southmead Hospital in north Bristol around lunchtime on Tuesday.

He and the Princess Royal are scheduled to have lunch together.

Some people think that the 73-year-old, who is experienced with horses, received slight injuries to her head and a concussion after being kicked by a horse while strolling on her Gatcombe Park property in Gloucestershire on Sunday night.

Even though the specific reason for the injuries has not been confirmed, Anne's medical team believes that her head injuries are in line with what could happen from being hit by a horse's head or legs.

Emergency services and a helicopter ambulance arrived and provided medical care on the spot. The princess was then taken to Southmead Hospital in a vehicle for further evaluations, treatment, and monitoring.

In 1992, Anne married Sir Tim, a former officer in the Royal Navy and her second husband, in a simple and understated ceremony.

The equestrian athlete who won Olympic medals is anticipated to stay in the hospital until the end of the week.
