Prince William withdrew from an event honoring his godfather at Windsor Castle just a few hours before the scheduled time for him to deliver a reading.

According to officials from the palace, the reason for his non-attendance at the late King Constantine of Greece's service was only attributed to a "private matter". They also stated that the Princess of Wales, who is currently recuperating from a stomach operation, is steadily healing.

Just a few hours after the incident, the sad news came out that Thomas Kingston, the spouse of Lady Gabriella Kingston, the daughter of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, had passed away unexpectedly on Sunday. The investor was discovered deceased at a place in Gloucestershire. An investigation will be conducted to determine the cause of his demise, but foul play is not suspected.

Due to William's nonattendance, Queen Camilla was the highest-ranking royal present at the St George's Chapel function, considering that King Charles is currently receiving treatment for cancer.

The British royals made their way down from Windsor Castle to the church with the main group led by the Duke of York, who is facing shame, and his ex-wife, Sarah, Duchess of York.

William has just resumed his royal responsibilities after taking a break to look after Kate. She had an operation on her stomach at the London Clinic, but the reason for the procedure was not disclosed. She was in the hospital for 13 days before going back to the family's residence in Windsor to continue recovering.

The sort of cancer he is suffering from has not been disclosed, and it is uncertain how many therapeutic courses he will need. However, up until this point he has already undergone a minimum of two treatments.
