Princess Kate makes her debut in a public event.

On Friday, Kensington Palace shared a recent picture of Prince William, the Prince of Wales, and his three kids to commemorate his 42nd birthday.

The photo uploaded on Prince William and Princess Catherine's social media accounts had a caption saying, "Happy birthday Father, we adore you very much!" It was signed with "Cx," which stands for the Princess of Wales, also known as Princess Kate.

The palace stated that Kate took the photo in Norfolk, a region located in the southeast of England, in May. Kate has been receiving medical care for a type of cancer that has not been specified. She appeared in public for the first time last weekend at a parade celebrating King Charles III's birthday, after revealing her diagnosis at the end of March.

Happy birthday Dad! We all love you very much! #family #celebration

The picture displays Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis leaping off a sand hill.

The official social media page of the Royal Family, managed by Buckingham Palace for King Charles III and Queen Camilla, shared a birthday tribute for Prince of Wales. The post included a picture of Charles cradling baby William.

King Charles is currently receiving treatment for cancer as well. The type of cancer that both he and Kate have been diagnosed with has not been disclosed by the family.

In March, Kate apologized for a photo she shared of her and her kids that had been changed. She confessed to editing the picture, which was posted for Mother's Day in the U.K. The heavily edited photo caused speculation about her well-being, especially since it was shared before she announced her cancer diagnosis, following a period of staying out of the public eye.
