The King and Queen of Wales have shared a picture of Prince George to mark his 11th birthday.

The photo, captured by Kate a few weeks ago, displays the future King dressed in a white shirt with no tie and a sharp dark suit.

The Wales family posted a close-up photo of George on their social media account, along with a message saying: "Happy 11th birthday to Prince George!"

The young prince's birthday arrives after a challenging year in which he, along with his two siblings, had to cope with the announcement of his mother, the Princess of Wales, undergoing treatment for cancer. Additionally, his grandfather King Charles also received a cancer diagnosis during this difficult time.

George's birthday party happened after he went on a trip to Berlin, Germany with his dad to support England in the Euro 2024 final game. Unfortunately, they watched England lose to Spain.

The prince and his younger sister, Princess Charlotte, who is nine years old, were also present with William at a Taylor Swift concert at Wembley Stadium in late June. They were celebrating their father's 42nd birthday together.

The royal family was seen grinning in a behind-the-scenes photo with the American singer, and Swift's partner, NFL player Travis Kelce, described the royal kids as "wonderful" and enjoyable to be around.

George, the second in line to become the monarch, was also seen on the balcony of Buckingham Palace with the rest of the royal family in June for the King's official birthday celebration.

Kate made her first public appearance since she shared the news of her cancer diagnosis earlier this year.

George had previously boarded a carriage with Kate, Charlotte, and his six-year-old brother Prince Louis as they rode down The Mall for the traditional Trooping the Colour ceremony.

George and his dad handed over the FA Cup to Manchester United, who were the champions at Wembley in May.

The young prince greeted both teams by shaking their hands, had a short conversation with Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, and also chatted briefly with former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson after the game ended.

William, who serves as the head of the Football Association, is a devoted supporter of Aston Villa. Throughout the year, he has brought George to several of the club's matches. The young prince can often be seen wearing the team's scarf at these games.

In April, they attended Aston Villa's game against Lille in the Europa Conference League quarter-finals - their first public appearance since Kate revealed her cancer diagnosis.

Prince George Alexander Louis was born at 4:24pm on July 22, 2013, at St. Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London. He was born in the private Lindo Wing and weighed 8 pounds and 6 ounces.
