U17 PL Cup report | Wolves 3-1 Leicester
The Wolves team advanced to the semi-finals of the under-17 Premier League Cup after winning 3-1 against Leicester City at Compton Park.
Richard Walker's team secured a place in the final four thanks to goals from Minkyu Ji, Tom Edozie, and Alvin Ayman. Jake Evans was able to score just before half-time, reducing the score gap.
The Old Gold had an excellent beginning to the match and took the lead in only five minutes. Ji received the ball on the right side and displayed some impressive skills to deceive his opponent by moving inside and then outside before releasing a powerful shot towards the goal. The ball landed in the top corner, and Jake Donohue didn't have any opportunity to stop it.
Leicester tried to come back and their forward, Josh King, almost scored when he shot low from the outside of the box. Lewys Benjamin made a great save, but the rebound was blocked.
