Disney fans prepare yourself, the newest Disney film, Peter Pan and Wendy is nearly here and the first trailer has just been released, and it looks incredible.

The latest adaptation of J.M. Barrie's novel of the same name stars Ever Anderson as Wendy and Alexander Molony as Peter, and is set to be released in April this year. That's so soon!

The movie has been in the works for a number of years, but we finally got our first look at the world of Neverland and the new cast in the trailer yesterday.

What's Peter Pan and Wendy about?

Disney's newest film Peter Pan and Wendy is an adaptation of the original J.M. Barrie's novel of the same name.

Over the years there's been a number of adaptations including the 1953 Disney cartoon version.

In the new Peter Pan and Wendy, Wendy is a young girl looking to avoid attending boarding school, when she meets Peter Pan, a boy who refuses to grow up. Along with her younger brothers John and Michael, she travels to Neverland with Peter Pan and tiny fairy Tinker Bell.

There, they encounter pirate Captain Hook, which sets them on a dangerous journey that will change Wendy's life forever.

Who is in the cast of Peter Pan and Wendy?

The main cast of Peter Pan and Wendy is pretty epic. Taking on the lead roles of Peter Pan and Wendy are Alexander Molony and Ever Anderson.

Jude Law is playing Captain Hook and Yara Shahidi will be taking on the role of Tinker Bell. Alyssa Wapanatâhk is starring as Tiger Lily, Jim Gaffigan is playing Smee and Molly Parker and Alan Tudyk will be taking on the roles of Wendy's parents Mary and George Darling.

In the original 1953 cartoon, Wendy's dad and Caption Hook are played by the same actor, however the new version will have two different actors playing the role.

What's the release date of Peter Pan and Wendy?

We don't have long to wait for the release of Peter Pan and Wendy as the film is heading straight to Disney+ from April 28.
