Todd Kaplan, the CMO of Pepsi, believes that their fresh visual design marks the beginning of a new phase for the brand. He thinks that it will make them stand out even more and also draw attention to their zero sugar product.

Pepsi has introduced a fresh new look, which involves switching up their logo. It's been 14 years since the last time they made any changes to their logo.

According to Pepsi, their logo and visual identity take inspiration from their 125-year history. The design is reminiscent of their logo from the 1970s to 1990s, which had the Pepsi brand name in a bold typeface inside the well-known red and blue 'yin and yang' circle. This helps to link their current identity to their past.

The brand's fresh look will hit North America during autumn of 2021, which is also the same time the brand celebrates its 125th anniversary. The updated package designs and logo will then be made available worldwide in the following year.

The brand will showcase its new look both in the physical world and online, using different methods to attract customers. For instance, the new design will be present on everything from the packaging to the equipment at the fountain and cooler stations. It will also be incorporated into the fashion and dining areas. Pepsi has aimed to make its new identity suitable for the "digital age". They have done this by using more animation and motion in the design, which allows the brand more freedom to adjust its appearance.

The brand update incorporates a fresh range of colors where black has been newly introduced. The color black has been extracted from Pepsi Zero Sugar's branding identity (known as Pepsi Max in the UK), and is a reflection of Pepsi's unchanging attention on its zero sugar product.

According to Todd Kaplan, who is the Chief Marketing Officer, Pepsi's new visual presentation marks the start of a "fresh era." It will also assist in establishing a unique brand identity.

According to him, Pepsi is a famous and recognizable brand that always adapts to changes in the world. For the last 125 years, it has had a significant impact on popular culture and has shaken up the industry.

The latest visual system enhances the Pepsi brand's impressive past, while also making significant progress to ensure success in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
