Van Nistelrooy Selects Team For PAOK Match

Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 6:45 PM

Ruud van Nistelrooy has chosen his Manchester United team for the upcoming Europa League match against PAOK.

Our temporary head coach has selected his starting eleven to face the Greek champions at Old Trafford, which promises to be filled with noise, especially with the enthusiastic away fans supporting their team.

There are two modifications in the center-back positions, as Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans are both in the starting lineup. The full-backs have the flexibility to play on either side, with Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui being adaptable enough for the task.

Mazraoui delivered an impressive performance on the left flank during the 1-1 tie against Chelsea last weekend.

Amad has returned to the starting lineup, playing on the right side, while Alejandro Garnacho takes his position on the left wing.

Antony, Christian Eriksen, and Mason Mount are all back in the lineup after recovering from injuries. Additionally, young player Jayce Fitzgerald is on the bench, as he has been included in the UEFA B list for the tournament.

Former Red Shola Shoretire is listed as one of the backup players for PAOK.

United's lineup includes: Onana in goal; a defense featuring Dalot, Lindelof, Evans, and Mazraoui; Ugarte and Casemiro in midfield; with an attacking trio of Amad, Fernandes (the captain), and Garnacho; and Hojlund leading the forward line.

Alternatives: Bayindir, Heaton, Amass, De Ligt, Martinez, Eriksen, Fitzgerald, Mount, Antony, Rashford, Wheatley, Zirkzee.

PAOK: Kotarski; Jonny, Kedziora, Colley, Baba; Ozdoev, Schwab (captain); Zivkovic, Camara, Taison; Tissoudali.

Alternates: Monastirlis, Balomenos, Michalidis, Bakayoko, Chalov, Sastre, Thymianis, Shoretire, Brandon, Despodov.
