Paloma Faith gives relationship advice to men in Glastonbury crowd

Paloma Faith

A shoeless Paloma Faith shared some love tips with the crowd at Glastonbury, specifically targeted towards the male attendees.

The Somerset festival's final day will feature a main performance by R&B artist SZA, while Canadian pop star Shania Twain will be performing in the Legends slot.

After Faith got everyone singing along to her song Sweatpants, off her newest album The Glorification of Sadness, discussing the aftermath of a breakup, the 42-year-old singer revealed she had been trying out different dating apps.

But she described the process of finding love in that way as a "lawless frontier" because people "don't really understand how to make genuine connections anymore."

Faith mentioned, "It's important to stick together, but the real issue is the feelings of bitterness."

I am simply asking for a favor from married heterosexual men. If you notice that a woman is consistently doing a certain task every day, just go ahead and take care of it without being asked. It shows that the task is important and needs to be done.

The woman with two children mentioned that her list of songs was inspired by "all the mothers raising children on their own," and urged parents to reject the "patriarchy" after singing the song Bad Woman.

Wearing a form-fitting pink and red outfit, Faith faced a challenge with a scratchy throat, causing her to cancel her Friday performance in Southampton's Guildhall Square. However, she sang all her popular songs at Glastonbury, showcasing her impressive vocal range.

She was also told through her earpiece by the production team that she needed to wrap up her conversation and finish the segment.

Faith stated, "I have spoken too much, therefore I am prohibited from speaking to you again."

Academy Award winner Cate Blanchett visited the set of Faith earlier in the day, and it was rumored that former Doctor Who actress Jodie Whittaker was also in attendance.

Emily Eavis, the person in charge of planning Glastonbury, talked to the festival's newspaper about her ideas for the upcoming year.

In the latest issue of Glastonbury Free Press on Sunday, she announced that the festival will be taking a break in 2026 to allow the land to recover. Planning for the festival before a fallow year is always exciting because it feels like cramming two years of work into one.

We are currently in discussions with some performers for the event. It's really thrilling.

Eavis also mentioned that Twain, who is 58 years old, has fully embraced the essence of the festival.

"I believe that's one of the reasons why there is so much excitement for her performance," she noted.

The musician known for the song "Man! I Feel Like A Woman!" will have her first performance on the main stage at the Glastonbury Festival at 3:45pm.

Eavis also praised the festival as a space where we can unite and discover shared values, stating that it "renews your belief in humanity".

People attending the festival can look forward to sunny periods on Sunday mixed with a few clouds.

A representative from the Met Office informed the PA news agency that the weather for the afternoon looks pleasant with sunny intervals, although there may be some cloud cover later in the day.

Tomorrow, the temperature will reach a maximum of 19 degrees Celsius during the daytime. The weather will remain dry tonight with temperatures ranging from 10 to 11 degrees Celsius.

On Monday, it is expected that there will be a little bit of rain in the late morning, around 8am to 11am, followed by a sunny afternoon.

SZA, a talented singer from the United States, will be the final act at this year's festival as she takes the stage for her headline performance at 9:30pm.

Solana Rowe, a 34-year-old artist also known as SZA, will be performing at the event this year. She is well-known for songs like PSA, Snooze, All The Stars, and Shirt. SZA is one of the two female headliners, with Dua Lipa also headlining on Friday night.

SZA's performance at Glastonbury comes right after her Saturday night show at BST Hyde Park. She shared her excitement on Instagram, thanking the crowd for vibing with her and expressing her anticipation for the upcoming Glastonbury performance.

The British rock band Coldplay performed on the main stage at Glastonbury on Saturday night for the fifth time. This marked a significant achievement in the festival's history, as they are now the first act to headline the event five times.

During their show, they had some special guests join them on stage, like Little Simz who had just performed on the Pyramid Stage earlier that day. They also had a touching moment with Michael J Fox, known for his role in Back To The Future, who played guitar during their song, Fix You.

Additionally, performing on Sunday's music lineup is Nigerian artist Burna Boy, known for his collaboration with Chris Martin from Coldplay on the track, "Monsters You Made," as well as American singer and rapper Janelle Monae.

Also taking the stage on the same day at the Other Stage are The National, Two Door Cinema Club, and Canadian musician Avril Lavigne, known for popular songs like Complicated and Sk8er Boi.

In another location, James Blake is performing on the Woodsies stage, while London Grammar and Ghetts are putting on a show at The Park Stage.
