Paloma Faith gives relationship advice to men in Glastonbury crowd

Paloma Faith

Paloma Faith, without shoes, shared relationship tips with the crowd at Glastonbury, specifically directed towards the male audience.

The final day of the Somerset festival is going to feature a main performance from R&B artist SZA, while Canadian pop singer Shania Twain will be taking the Legends slot.

After Faith got the crowd to join in on singing her song Sweatpants from her newest album, The Celebration of Sorrow, which explores the aftermath of a breakup, the 42-year-old singer mentioned that she had been trying out different dating apps.

However, she referred to that type of love with the term "wild west" because people don't truly understand how to communicate effectively anymore.

Faith mentioned: "It's important to stick together, but the issue lies in the resentment."

"I am simply requesting, begging even, for heterosexual men who are married to understand that if a woman consistently performs the same task every day, it is because it needs to be done. Therefore, do not hesitate to take the initiative and complete the task without being asked."

The mother of two also mentioned that her list of songs was "for all the single moms out there," and urged parents to stop supporting the "patriarchy" after singing her song, Bad Woman.

Wearing a snug pink and red outfit, Faith faced some vocal challenges with a scratchy throat, which resulted in her having to cancel her performance in Southampton's Guildhall Square on Friday. However, she still managed to showcase her impressive singing abilities and perform all her popular songs at Glastonbury.

The production team communicated through her earpiece that she should wrap up her talking and move on to the next segment.

Faith mentioned, "I have spoken too frequently, so I am prohibited from communicating with you further."

Award-winning actress Cate Blanchett visited the set of Faith earlier in the day, and it was rumored that former Doctor Who actress Jodie Whittaker also observed the filming.

Emily Eavis, one of the people in charge of planning the Glastonbury festival, talked to the newspaper that is always at the festival about what she has in mind for the event next year.

In the latest issue of Glastonbury Free Press, she mentioned that they will be skipping 2026 to allow the land to recover. Planning for the festival before a fallow year is always exciting as they have to cram two years of preparation into one.

"We are currently having discussions with some performers for the event. It's really thrilling."

Eavis also mentioned that Twain, who is 58 years old, has fully embraced the essence of the festival.

"I believe that is one of the reasons the excitement for her concert is so intense," she added.

The singer of "Man! I Feel Like A Woman!" will have her first performance on the main stage at Worthy Farm at 3.45pm.

Eavis also praised the festival as a space where we can all gather and discover our shared values, and mentioned that it "renews your belief in people".

People going to the festival should anticipate periods of sunshine on Sunday, with a few clouds also appearing.

A representative from the Met Office informed the PA news agency that the weather this afternoon will be good with plenty of sunshine, but there will also be some clouds later in the day.

The temperatures will reach a maximum of 19 degrees Celsius during the daytime, and it will remain dry tonight with temperatures ranging from 10 to 11 degrees Celsius.

Monday's forecast predicts a chance of light rain in the late morning, around 8am to 11am, followed by a sunny afternoon.

The festival will come to an end this year with a performance by SZA, an American soul singer, who will take the stage for her headline slot at 9:30pm.

The 34-year-old singer, also known as Solana Rowe, is famous for songs like PSA, Snooze, All The Stars, and Shirt. She is one of the two female headliners at the event this year, along with Dua Lipa, who performed on Friday night.

SZA's performance at Glastonbury comes after her Saturday night gig at BST Hyde Park. She took to Instagram afterwards to thank the crowd for vibing with her and expressed her excitement for the upcoming show at Glastonbury.

The British band Coldplay performed on the main stage at Glastonbury on Saturday night. It was their fifth time headlining the festival, setting a new record in the festival's history.

During their show, they had special guests like Little Simz, who had just performed on the Pyramid Stage, and a touching moment with actor Michael J Fox from Back To The Future, who played guitar during their song, Fix You.

Additionally, Nigerian musician Burna Boy and American artist Janelle Monae are also scheduled to perform on Sunday. Burna Boy has worked with Coldplay's Chris Martin on their track, Monsters You Made.

Also taking the stage on the same day at the Other Stage are The National, Two Door Cinema Club, and Canadian artist Avril Lavigne. Avril Lavigne is well-known for her popular songs such as Complicated and Sk8er Boi.

In another location, James Blake is performing on the Woodsies stage, while London Grammar and Ghetts are putting on a show at The Park Stage.
