Arrests as factory targeted by Palestine activists
The Merseyside Police reported that demonstrators had ascended onto a rooftop.
Three individuals were detained after a factory in Wirral was once again approached by pro-Palestine activists, marking the second incident in three months.
The Palestine Action campaign group announced that it was behind the demonstration at Teledyne CML Composites in Bromborough, asserting that the company provides components for Israeli military aircraft.
Merseyside Police reported that they were alerted to the location on Tebay Road at 06:05 BST following notifications about three individuals climbing onto the roof and causing harm.
Authorities reported that two individuals managed to enter the factory through the roof and were held inside.
The third protester was taken into custody after being assisted off the roof by the Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service.
Palestine Action also took credit for a comparable demonstration in July, during which a van was driven through the factory gates, and red paint was splattered around the area.
Ch Insp Chris Barnes stated that the police honor the "right to protest and express opinions."
He stated, "We will not accept any actions that involve trespassing on private property and causing harm; such incidents will be addressed firmly."
