Paddy McGuinness reads a CBeebies Bedtime Story
Posted: 9:30 AM on November 12, 2024
The book I'm currently reading, The Stompysaurus, focuses on finding ways to unwind and take it easy when life gets a bit too much. However, for me, it's more about directing my energy as I participate in Radio 2's big cycling challenge for BBC Children in Need!
Paddy McGuinness settles into the famous yellow chair from CBeebies Bedtime Stories to share "The Stompysaurus," a comforting story by Rachel Bright and Chris Chatterton. This tale addresses how to manage intense emotions and frustrations.
One morning, Stompysaurus wakes up feeling joyful after a wonderful dream, eager to embrace the day ahead. However, things don’t go as planned, and he starts to feel a bit overwhelmed. As his frustration builds, he can feel the urge to stomp and roar inside him, ready to burst out! Will Stompysaurus discover a different perspective and manage to change the course of his day?
This week, Paddy's CBeebies Bedtime Story will be featured as he participates in BBC Radio 2's Ultra Endurance Cycle Challenge to support BBC Children in Need.
On Monday, November 11, Paddy began his journey from Wrexham, Wales, cycling a total of 300 miles through several regions, including Flintshire, Cheshire, Merseyside, Lancashire, Cumbria, Dumfriesshire, and Lanarkshire. He will wrap up his ride on Friday morning in Glasgow, where Zoe Ball will be hosting The Radio 2 Breakfast Show and will greet Paddy as he crosses the finish line.
Paddy will be checking in with Radio 2 throughout the week to share updates as he tackles his challenging journey. The presenters, their audience, and some special guests will provide support to keep him inspired as he pedals long distances up and down hills, through various villages and towns, no matter what kind of weather November brings. He's doing it all on his bike!
Paddy expresses his excitement, saying, "It's such a privilege to read a CBeebies Bedtime Story—it really is special to enjoy a story together. I hope kids love cuddling up with their parents while watching. The book I'm sharing, The Stompysaurus, teaches us how to calm down and unwind when life gets too hectic. Personally, though, I’ll be focusing more on directing my energy as I participate in Radio 2's big cycling challenge for BBC Children in Need!"
Paddy hosts a weekly program on Radio 2 and BBC Sounds every Sunday from 11 AM to 1 PM.
Paddy McGuinness will present a CBeebies Bedtime Story at 6:50 PM on Friday, November 15, available on CBeebies and BBC iPlayer.
