Hip-hop artist 50 Cent has given his opinion on the recently leaked video that shows music executive Sean "Diddy" Combs physically assaulting his former girlfriend Cassandra "Cassie" Ventura.
In 2016, there was an incident that was caught on camera in which Combs was seen running after the singer in a hotel hallway and attacking her by hitting and kicking her until she fell to the ground. At the time, Combs was only wearing a towel wrapped around his waist and a pair of socks. After the attack, he tried to pull Ventura back towards him down the hallway.
50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, reposted a video of an incident on his X/Twitter account. In his post, he expressed his belief that Puffy is innocent and the video doesn't prove anything. 50 Cent also shared his concern about what Puffy's lawyers might argue and asked for divine intervention.
"Puffy" is a term that refers to one of Combs' numerous music monikers, such as "Puff Daddy", "P Diddy", or just "Diddy".
In a new blog post published a few hours after the security camera video was made public, the famous rapper known for his hit song "In Da Club" shared a photo of a statement that Combs had previously released in response to the accusations of trafficking, rape, and sexual abuse that had been directed at him. In the post, 50 Cent claimed that a lie detector test had been conducted and that it had concluded that Combs was not telling the truth.
The Independent has reached out to Comb's agents for a statement.
50 Cent has been openly discussing the numerous legal battles he's been facing lately. He shared an image of Homeland Security raiding Diddy's homes on March 25 in relation to a sex trafficking case. 50 Cent expressed his shock by saying that the situation has intensified and children were even taken into custody.
During March, 50 Cent hinted mischievously to an audience during one of his shows in Phoenix. He stated "We don't want too much affection, as we all remember the uproar caused by Brother Love and his actions", making reference to Diddy's new nickname, which he started calling himself in 2017.
The artist known for his hit song "21 Questions" proposed to purchase Revolt, a TV network that Diddy co-founded with Andy Schuon in 2013, following Diddy's resignation as chairman.
The hip hop artist has hinted at his intention to produce a documentary about Combs, declaring that it will shatter all records for viewership. Along with a satirical image of Combs on the cover, 50 Cent posted a message on his various social media platforms: "When this is released, it will smash records."

A recently discovered video from the CCTV footage of 2016 seems to support multiple accusations mentioned in the lawsuit filed by Ventura in 2023. She claimed that she was trafficked, raped, and physically abused by Combs across a span of 10 years.
Reportedly, the event occurred at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles. According to CNN, the verification of the site was based on photos of the hotel's interior that were openly accessible.
Combs had recruited the R&B vocalist to join his label back in 2005 when she was just 19 years old and he was 37. The two had become romantically involved before the singer claims that a pattern of harmful behavior began. Combs has vehemently refuted all accusations made against him.
As per the formal accusation, referring to a quarrel in the hotel corridor that happened "approximately in March 2016," Combs got severely inebriated and struck Ms. Ventura in the face, resulting in a black eye.
According to the complaint, Ventura tried to exit the hotel room after Combs dozed off, but he awakened and pursued her into the corridor of the hotel while screaming at her.
According to the text, he caught hold of her, and then proceeded to pick up some glass vases from the hallway and fling them in her direction. This resulted in shattered glass scattering around them as she dashed to the elevator in order to make a getaway.
Combs is currently dealing with multiple legal cases that are accusing him of sex trafficking, sexual misconduct, and rape. Combs has strongly refuted these allegations, and his legal representatives have described these lawsuits and their claims as purely an attempt to gain financial benefits, completely unfounded, or disgustingly false. There has been no official charge filed against the musician at this point.
