Outnumbered to return after 8-year hiatus for Christmas special

Outnumbered

Sue and Pete, the parents of three misbehaving children in a popular comedy show called Mock the Week, played by Hugh Dennis and Claire Skinner respectively, are coming back to the screens. However, this time their children have grown up and started living on their own.

Tyger Drew-Honey, known for his role in Cuckoo, Daniel Roche who played Just William, and Ramona Marquez from The King’s Speech are all set to reprise their roles in the upcoming season as Jake, Ben, and Karen, the memorable younger sibling.

In the upcoming show, Sue and Pete, who are now grandparents, will be hosting a Christmas celebration with their loved ones in their recently downsized apartment. However, the journey towards creating cherished family memories has obstacles along the way, such as dealing with boisterous laughter and navigating around transportation disruptions.

Between 2007 and 2014, Outnumbered aired and chronicled the children's growth into adolescence. A Christmas episode was produced two years after the show's conclusion and depicted the family being stuck in a pub after a minor car accident.

Dennis and Skinner let the public know that their on-camera love had transitioned into a real-life romance after the making of the special. They have been together since 2017.

Dennis eagerly anticipates the reunion of the Brockman family. Pete and Sue have moved into a smaller house and the children have grown up, but he predicts that their family dynamic will remain just as hectic as before.

Skinner expressed his excitement about reuniting with his colleagues on the BBC comedy show. He added that the experience of working on this program has always been a pleasure for him and never felt like actual work.
