Former Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse gives birth to first child
Oti Mabuse, who used to be a dancer on Strictly Come Dancing, has had her very first baby.
On Instagram post on Christmas Day, the skilled dancer posted pictures of herself and her spouse, Marius Iepure, wearing matched holiday clothing. She also held a baby in her arms, while a Christmas tree could be seen in the backdrop.
"Happy Christmas," she penned. "Hoping for a fantastic holiday time and cherished moments with your dearest ones."
The blog entry received some messages of praise from Ellie Leach, who won Strictly Come Dancing this year, and a few professional dancers of the show, such as Jowita Przystał, Dianne Buswell, and Amy Dowden, among others.
Recently, it was reported that Mabuse, a judge on Dancing on Ice, had previously revealed that her and Iepure faced some problems when trying to conceive.
Mabuse shared in August that she was pregnant, and later revealed that she and her partner had made the decision to stop actively trying to become pregnant before she became pregnant because it became overwhelming.
In a blog post announcing her pregnancy, she suggested that the baby might arrive during the holiday season. She expressed her love for the new addition and mentioned that Christmas would become even more lively with the baby's arrival.
Mabuse used to be in the field of civil engineering before entering the dance industry. Iepure became his dance partner after she left Pretoria located in South Africa and moved to Nuremberg, Germany back in 2012. As a team, they represented Germany in the show dance Latin competitions.
Iepure asked her to marry him in 2014 and they tied the knot later that same year.
Mabuse, who is 33 years old, became a member of the Strictly team back in 2015 and even managed to earn the glitterball prize in both 2019 and 2020. Her wins were accomplished together with Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher and comedian Bill Bailey. Recently, she paired with former rugby player, Ugo Monye, before deciding to leave the show in 2022.
She stepped in as a judge on Dancing on Ice, the popular ice-skating show on ITV, after John Barrowman left his role as the Doctor Who star.
Motsi's sister, who is 42 years old, used to work as a judge on the German version of Strictly called Let's Dance. Later on, she became a judge on the BBC version of the show in 2019 after Darcey Bussell left.
