The forward arrived in Istanbul on the morning of September 3rd and was warmly welcomed by the supporters.

"The vibe is amazing. The most dedicated fans are right here. I'm happy to be in this place. I'm thrilled," he exclaimed.

The Nigerian player, who is 25 years old, signed a new deal with the Italian team in December that will keep him at the club until 2026. The contract reportedly includes a release clause of 130 million euros ($143.91 million).

One month later, Napoli's chief Aurelio De Laurentiis announced that Osimhen will depart at the conclusion of the season.

The striker who wants to leave has not made the cut for Napoli's official 23-player squad for the current Serie A season.

Osimhen scored 26 goals for Napoli when they won the Scudetto two seasons ago, but things have gone downhill since then.
