In every chapter of the show, Dex and Em are shown to be getting older as they live through different experiences, including times of happiness and sadness, while moving closer together or drifting apart. The captivating story of love and time in One Day is inspired by David Nicholls' global best-selling novel.

The filming for One Day took place in Edinburgh.

On the 8th of February 2024, the series will become available for streaming on Netflix.
