Oasis: new Wembley dates, how to get tickets and enter ballot

Oasis new dates

Oasis has added two more concerts at Wembley Stadium because a lot of people wanted tickets. Fans who couldn't get tickets before now have a chance to get one this time. The band is promising to make the ticket-selling process better after many fans were upset about long waits and expensive prices for the first set of concerts. Let's see what changes they might make this time.

What's Oasis Up To?

The organizers have added two additional concerts at Wembley Stadium in London on September 27 and September 28, 2025, due to the overwhelming interest in the first round of ticket sales. A record-breaking 10 million fans from 158 different countries tried to purchase tickets online, prompting the decision to accommodate the unprecedented demand.

The band used their latest announcement to talk about the controversy surrounding Ticketmaster's dynamic pricing strategy. This caused some fans to wait in online queues all day, only to discover that the price of standing tickets had increased from £135 to £355 by the time they were able to make their purchase.

The band criticized promoters, Ticketmaster, and their own management team, stating they had no knowledge of the selling strategy that is now being investigated by the UK competition watchdog and its European counterpart.

How To Buy Tickets For New Shows?

The idea to start fixing the situation involves creating a unique and exclusive ballot that will be sent out in phases to a select group of people.

In reality, the Guardian knows that they are currently reviewing the list of people who signed up for the first pre-order ballot to remove any fraudulent applications, like bots.

Confirmed fans who were not able to secure a ticket through Ticketmaster's pre-order lottery last Friday will have the opportunity to try again first. After that, the sale will be available to all other fans.

Oasis has not disclosed whether customers who attempted to purchase tickets on Saturday via Ticketmaster, See Tickets, or Gigs and Tours will have the opportunity to participate in the exclusive ballot, or when this may occur.

The band has not announced the release date for the new ballot for the two additional shows, but they are eager for it to happen as soon as they can.

Number Of Tickets And Prices?

Wembley is the biggest venue in the UK and it is anticipated that a total of 180,000 tickets will be available for sale during the two nights.

The prices for the upcoming concert have not been announced yet. However, before the pre-sale on Friday, the promoters mentioned that standing tickets are estimated to be around £150, while standard seated tickets will range from £73 to roughly £205. It is still unclear whether the band will decide to have fluctuating prices for the new dates, but considering the controversy surrounding this practice, it would be unexpected.

What Made Oasis Do This?

The band's reputation has been damaged by the controversy surrounding ticket prices leading up to their highly anticipated reunion tour. The tour is anticipated to be the largest in British history, but Oasis has acknowledged that the situation did not live up to their expectations.

The band explained that they were unable to book enough concerts to meet the high demand from fans. They wanted to make it easier for people to buy tickets and reduce the time and effort fans had to put in to get tickets for their first shows in 16 years.

Nonetheless, the business aspect shows that including two additional performances will bring in a lot of money. The tour originally had 14 dates in the UK & Ireland, but has now grown to 19.

Birmingham City University estimated that the initial 14-date tour in the UK could generate a total of £400 million from ticket sales and additional purchases, averaging approximately £28.5 million per show.

The tour now has the possibility of earning around £550 million for promoters, ticket vendors, managers, and the band with the inclusion of the two new shows.
