Oasis has officially announced that there will be a secret vote for two additional tour shows at Wembley Stadium in September of next year.

In late August, the band revealed they would come together again after 15 years for a series of big concerts in the UK and Ireland.

Last week, tickets were made available for purchase and within a day, all performances were completely booked. Nevertheless, many fans were upset with the way Ticketmaster managed the sale. Some had to wait for long periods in the online queue, while others were surprised by increased prices due to dynamic pricing.

Oasis has just revealed that they will be performing two additional concerts at Wembley on the 27th and 28th of September 2025. However, this time around, stricter guidelines will be enforced for ticket purchases as they aim to take a small step towards rectifying the situation.

These guidelines are presented as an exclusive invitation-only ticket sale strategy.

What does that entail, exactly?

Based on a statement released by the band, fans who were unable to get tickets last weekend should have received an email inviting them to participate in a private lottery.

The announcement said: "If you logged into your Ticketmaster UK account on Saturday, August 31st, and entered a virtual line for a certain event but didn't secure a ticket – you might qualify to participate and will be sent an email with instructions on how to enter the lottery."

To sign up, supporters will need to provide their information and respond to a fresh quiz about the last time the band performed at Wembley Stadium (which was on July 12, 2009, in case you were wondering).

Once you sign up, your name will be placed in a drawing for a code. If you are chosen, you will receive the code which will allow you to purchase tickets for the last two Wembley concerts. It's important to remember that just signing up does not guarantee you will receive a code.

The announcement states: "Only fans who have received an invitation will be able to participate in the ballot. Make sure to use the email address that was sent the invitation and is linked to your Ticketmaster account when registering. Any other entries will not be considered. If you haven't received an email invitation, then you will not be able to enter the ballot. Even if you try to register, you will not be included in the ballot if you didn't receive an invitation email."

After investigating Ticketmaster's pricing strategy, it was found that the cost of regular tickets skyrocketed from £148 to £355 without any clear explanation, raising concerns about how the company is conducting its sales.

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is looking into whether the company "may have violated laws protecting consumers".
