WIMBLEDON — Novak Djokovic admitted he felt he wasn't playing like a champion, even though he managed to defeat Jacob Fearnley and deal with his own frustration towards a fan, to move on to the third round at Wimbledon.

Djokovic appeared to be heading towards a victory in three sets on Centre Court, but the British No 13 fought back and won the third set 7-5.

As the crowd cheered for Fearnley, he glanced over his shoulder before the cameras switched to Djokovic after the set ended.

The Serbian player was overheard speaking to the security on the court. He pointed out a man and said, "That's him. Get him. The guy in the grey tracksuit walking down the stairs."

I heard that two individuals were approached by security officials for being loud during the match. One of them briefly left the court, but both were able to return to their seats afterwards.

Djokovic won the first two sets with scores of 6-3 and 6-4, but then faced a challenge from the British wild card, who was making their Centre Court debut.

Fearnley found himself behind in the third set, but managed to break Djokovic's serve twice and hit an impressive 16 winners compared to his opponent's five. He was determined to give it his all and fight until the end.

The decision to be more aggressive worked out well. Even though they only won one set, it was a significant moment for a player ranked 277th in the world who was playing in their first Wimbledon singles match this year.

The 22-year-old from Edinburgh was very close to tying the match at 5-4 and 30-30 in the 10th game, but Djokovic's skill proved to be superior as he won three consecutive games to secure a 7-5 victory.

Djokovic then stood with the audience to cheer on Fearnley as he left the court, appreciating the challenge that will help him in the future as he aims for his eighth Wimbledon championship and 25th grand slam title.

"Big congratulations to Jacob for his outstanding performance in the match, he definitely deserves a standing ovation," Djokovic exclaimed while on the court. "There's always an element of unexpectedness and Fearnley had nothing to lose."

It was challenging to win against his serve. He really made me put in the effort. Overall, this match could have gone to a fifth set based on his performance, especially in the fourth set, but I'm relieved that it didn't.

After coming back from a tough third set, Djokovic shared that he wasn't sure if he showcased a champion's mindset during the match. He admitted feeling uneasy and not at his best, but acknowledged that his opponent Jacob pushed him to earn the win. Despite the struggles, Djokovic acknowledged the victory and expressed hope that he could perform better in the upcoming rounds.

Djokovic also mentioned that he wasn't searching for any reasons for his performance, as he had recently had knee surgery and had to pull out of the French Open due to an injury.

He said: "I felt good physically, but can I play and move even better? Definitely."

Fearnley mentioned that Djokovic pointed out a spectator in the crowd who was being very loud. He said it was clear that there was a fan making noise, but he didn't hear anything overly offensive.

"I could tell they were mostly focused on me in the audience," Fearnley stated. "It seemed pretty clear. I didn't see anything too out of the ordinary, but I wasn't really paying attention to that. I was more focused on handling the nerves that come with playing on that court."

I didn't hear anything that was shocking, but perhaps it was in a different language like Serbian. I'm not sure.
