Everton vs Southampton LIVE: Carlos Alcaraz update given as Toffees directors miss game
Southampton are back in Premier League action this afternoon as they take on Everton at Goodison Park in one of the biggest games of their season.
Nathan Jones is yet to win a point since replacing Ralph Hasenhuttl as Saints boss in November, losing all four of his top-flight matches to leave his side bottom of the table heading into today's clash with the Toffees.
Solace has come from Southampton's form in the cup competitions however, with an FA Cup victory away at Crystal Palace last weekend followed by Wednesday's evening excellent 2-0 victory over Manchester City at St Mary's in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup.

Jones will be hoping those wins provide enough momentum for Saints to get a good result on Merseyside this afternoon, especially against an Everton side also under pressure and on a run of six league games without a win.
Our Southampton reporter Mark Wyatt is at Goodison Park for this clash and will be providing all the build-up and updates from the match in the live blog below. Stay tuned for more!
