The Northern Lights provided breathtaking spectacles of pink and green hues in the skies above the United Kingdom, thrilling observers.

The stunning Northern Lights, typically observable only in the northern regions of the British Isles, were on display across vast areas of the UK throughout the night. This included Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, and, in an uncommon occurrence, southern England.

The exhibit was activated subsequent to the announcement of the first severe solar storm warning by America's National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in 2005. Yesterday, a massive geomagnetic storm surged towards the planet.

On Thursday, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) reported that a severe G5 geomagnetic storm occurred and could possibly affect communication systems, GPS services, and power grids. This type of storm is considered the strongest level of geomagnetic storm.

A natural phenomenon known as auroras take place when charged particles crash into gases in the Earth's atmosphere located near the magnetic poles.

The stunning spectacle was observed in the northern regions of the United States, Canada, Ireland, and Northern Europe as well.
