Slade's Noddy Holder told he had just six months to live after throat cancer diagnosis five years ago
The vocalist Noddy Holder received information that he had a limited time of six months to live when he was diagnosed with cancer around five years back.
The lead singer of Slade received an unexpected medical verdict in 2018, which revealed a tumor in his throat. Medical professionals cautioned that he had only a few months left to live.
After receiving a rigorous session of experimental chemotherapy, the legendary performer, who is 77 years old, managed to overcome the disease and even showed off their talents on stage earlier this year.
In a recent article for Cheshire Life magazine, Suzan Holder, aged 57, shared information about her husband's (a glam rocker) medical care. She expressed her admiration for his incredible resilience and positivity during the treatment process.
She stated that back then, they were informed of the heartbreaking news that their loved one had oesophageal cancer and was given a mere six months to live.
We managed the situation by staying low, uniting and putting in all our efforts to make it through.
We shared the news only with our nearest and dearest loved ones. I have no regrets about not telling others, but I do feel sorry for those who had to endure the same emotional pain and distress as we did whilst trying to come to terms with our new reality."

The previous year, the performer and artist joined forces with another vocalist, Ozzy Osbourne, and a variety of other notable figures to record a Christmas tune with the goal of collecting funds for The Cancer Awareness Trust.

She said: "There was no assurance, nobody knew if it would have any impact, not to mention perform wonders, but he reacted positively."
For those who have been diagnosed with cancer, it's common knowledge that professionals try to avoid employing the term 'cure'. However, after a period of five years, the individual is feeling healthy and appearing admirable.
According to Mrs. Holder, she was extremely impressed with Noddy and commended the hospital for how well they treated him.
She expressed that the level of care and expertise she encountered at The Christie was outstanding.
Furthermore, Noddy has consistently excelled at embracing the present, without dwelling on the past or fretting over future uncertainties.
His positive mindset was very helpful and has been recognized as a major factor in his recovery."

In the summertime, Noddy did some shows in different places. He performed in Walsall, which is where he comes from, in Dorset at Wimborne, and also in Salford at a place called The Lowry. This happened because a singer called Tom Seals asked Noddy to come back on stage.
