Nigel Farage has come in third place on the television competition I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!

The conservative politician and commentator made it to the last three participants in a well-known ITV program. In this program, public figures challenge themselves to take part in tasks, for instance, taste-testing kangaroo testicles.

Farage, who was paid a hefty £1.5m for his participation in the program, was one of the contestants in the final episode that aired on Sunday evening. He competed against Tony Bellew and Sam Thompson, with Thompson ultimately being declared the champion.

The ex-leader of Ukip, who has attempted to secure a parliamentary seat seven times without success, used his time on a TV show in Australia to suggest that he may consider rejoining the Conservative Party. He made the remarks in a conversation with another participant in the show, saying that one should never rule out the possibility.

In the last installment, he made a jest saying, "I am now a remainer, a part of the remain camp that is. It brings me immense joy to be among the final three."

In his last challenge, Farage was trapped inside a container made of metal and occupied by a multitude of snakes. Following his 23-day jungle adventure, Farage expressed that he felt slightly fatigued in his legs.

When asked about his participation in the show this year, despite being asked before, he shared that he had free time and wanted to seize the opportunity before he turns 60 soon. He also acknowledged that age might become a limitation in the future, but for now, he is up for the challenge.

This is a highly strenuous task that involves carrying buckets of water and engaging in challenges. Therefore, I decided that now was the perfect moment to tackle it and I am exceedingly satisfied that I did. In the challenges, I made every effort to demonstrate my complete lack of fear.

The most recent season of the show suffered from negative news regarding low ratings; only 7 million people watched the first episode which is a decrease of 2.1 million viewers compared to last year. The show's hosts, Ant and Dec, suggested that it may be best for the show to avoid including politicians as participants for a while.

The previous health secretary, Matt Hancock, participated in a program last year to try and improve how the public viewed him, since he was compelled to step down from his government role after disregarding his own Covid protocols. He ended up being the third-place finisher.

When questioned about the possibility of Rishi Sunak entering the camp in the future, Dec suggested that it may be better for them to avoid politicians altogether for at least a year.

"I completely concur," Ant answered.

Thompson, a famous face on TV and radio who was previously seen on Made in Chelsea, expressed how he felt incredibly emotional after winning the title of jungle king. He also shared his surprise at having been given the opportunity to participate in the show in the first place, stating that he hadn't expected to receive an invitation.

When he spoke to the citizens, he expressed his gratitude by saying, "I greatly appreciate it. Thank you very much. I have had aspirations of performing on this program for quite some time, and you have turned this young man's dream into a reality."

At the start of the series, Chris Packham, a presenter at the BBC, shared an open message directed towards the other presenters, stating that the show was taking advantage of animals.
