Nicole Scherzinger is facing criticism for her response to a Russell Brand post regarding Trump's victory in the US elections.

Numerous celebrities have been expressing their shock at Donald Trump's election as president, making him only the second individual to serve two non-consecutive terms.

While some celebrities chose not to reveal their voting preferences, others, like Jennifer Aniston, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Harrison Ford, supported Kamala Harris. On the other hand, Trump's group of well-known supporters features Piers Morgan, Elon Musk, Joe Rogan, and Russell Brand.

On Thursday, November 7, Scherzinger reacted to an Instagram photo shared by Brand, in which he was seen celebrating Trump's win while wearing a red cap that said, "Make Jesus First Again."

The award-winning star of the Broadway show Sunset Boulevard, who has won an Olivier Award and received a Tony nomination, exclaimed, “Where can I find this hat!?”

The now-deleted comment has caused many to speculate that the celebrity is a supporter of Trump, largely because the hat resembles his MAGA hats that display the slogan "Make America Great Again."

Scherzinger has faced backlash for her response to Brand, who was the focus of a Channel 4 Dispatches documentary in which four women alleged that he raped them and subjected them to sexual and emotional abuse.

"Nicole Scherzinger was experiencing a beautiful resurgence, and for the first time in her career, people were beginning to see her in a serious light. One individual remarked, 'She threw in her thoughts on a post about Russell Brand.'"

Someone else remarked, “It's really surprising to see Nicole Scherzinger jeopardizing her positive public image—at its best in years—just over a comment on a post from Russell Brand.” Another user on X/Twitter asked, “I’m curious why Nicole Scherzinger is even following and engaging with Russell Brand to begin with.”

Following the recent controversy, a post has emerged online that highlights Scherzinger's approval of a comment made by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. The message stated: "Absolutely, Russell Brand and Tucker Carlson, I will bring back free speech, put an end to endless wars, and safeguard children's health once we have Donald Trump returned to the White House."

During his campaign, Trump announced that he would appoint the former independent presidential candidate to manage the health, food, and pharmaceuticals sectors if he were to become president. This decision comes despite Kennedy Jr.'s well-known fixation on widely discredited conspiracy theories.

Scherzinger has addressed the backlash, expressing regret for any pain she may have caused. She seemed to reject the idea that she supported Trump, saying, "When I made comments on these posts, I didn’t realize they could be taken as politically motivated, and I apologize to anyone who understandably thought that."

"People are making a lot of assumptions that don't truly represent who I am, what I believe in, or my voting choices."

Earlier this month, British prosecutors announced that they have received a report from the police containing evidence related to alleged sexual offenses involving Brand. They are currently evaluating whether to pursue charges against him.

Brand, known for previously promoting baseless conspiracy theories, has fervently rejected all allegations made against him. In a YouTube interview with former Fox News host Carlson, he described the accusations as "extremely painful."

Less than a year after the accusations came to light, the comedian underwent baptism, describing it as a chance to move on from his past.
