The hair styling trick for Nicole Kidman's red-carpet waves
Nicole Kidman consistently dazzles with her fashion sense, both in films and in her personal life. Recently, we've discovered the hidden styling technique that contributes to her sought-after red-carpet hairstyles.
The credit goes to the renowned stylist Sam McKnight, who posted a video showing his techniques for creating that effortlessly casual look. After attending The Governors Awards, Kidman traveled to London, where she got her hair done by McKnight before stepping onto the red carpet.
The actress sported her bright, breezy blonde locks with a center part, styled into soft, wavy curls. As McKnight explains, this relaxed look was influenced by the vibe of the UK capital. "The contrast of easygoing, subtle waves perfectly embodied the essence of London style," he noted.
To achieve this style, McKnight used a blow dryer along with his own product, Save The Do Style Starter from his brand, Hair by Sam McKnight. He noted, "Given the chilly weather and light rain in London, I had to shield her hair from humidity and add some shine."
He then took a set of medium curling irons to create soft waves, applying the heated tool gently. For this method, he wrapped each section of hair around the barrel and lightly sprayed it with his Modern Hairspray to maintain a flexible hold and a natural shine.
The secret to achieving this look was all about the standout product: McKnight's Dressed To Kill Define and Defrizz Cream. The stylist warmed it up between his fingers and then applied it to the tips of Kidman's hair. This smooth cream worked wonders to control frizz and enhance the definition of her waves, resulting in an effortlessly chic finish.
