Neymar injured in second game back for Al-Hilal
Neymar has eased worries after suffering another injury during his second match with Al-Hilal, following a year away from the game.
The 32-year-old Brazilian forward was taken off the field in the 86th minute during the Saudi Arabian team's 3-0 victory over the Iranian club Esteghlal in the Asian Champions League Elite on Monday.
"It felt like a very intense cramp. I have some tests scheduled and I'm hoping it's nothing serious," the Brazilian shared on Instagram.
"It’s common for this to occur after a year. The doctors had already alerted me, so I need to take precautions and increase my playing time."
Neymar faced an extended period away from the game after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament while playing for Brazil in a World Cup qualifying match against Uruguay in October 2023.
Since joining Al-Hilal from Paris St-Germain in August 2023, he has participated in just seven games.
