Five prints made from the bark of the Sycamore Gap tree are now on exhibit for everyone to see.

Last September, a 200-year-old tree was cut down without permission near Hadrian's Wall in Northumberland. The tree stood 50ft tall.

Artist Shona Branigan was asked by the National Trust to make the art pieces, which are currently on display at four spots along Hadrian's Wall.

The huge tree prints display each ring, groove, and intricate detail from the cross-section of the nearly heart-shaped trunk.

Ms. Branigan expressed that she felt honored to be chosen to pay tribute to not just the tree, but also to all the individuals who cherished the tree as well.

The tree at Sycamore Gap was one of the most popular subjects for photos in the entire country.

Andrew Poad, the person in charge of overseeing the National Trust at Hadrian's Wall, expressed that many people loved the Sycamore Gap tree and they wanted to give the public more chances to feel a strong connection with it.

Ms. Branigan depicted the tree as a sanctuary in a rugged setting.

This project is quite large and takes a lot of time because everything is being created manually.

After working for many hours, my muscles hurt from the effort put in, but I am happy and proud of the finished series of prints.

The art show will be open until 1 September, and then all five prints will be exhibited at The Queen's Hall in Hexham from 6 September to 19 October.
