Some people incapable of accepting you can play well AND get beat

Newcastle

They refuse to believe that you can attribute the victory to both teams.

Manchester City won the game because they were the better team all round and had more opportunities.

Newcastle United managed to score two amazing goals in the first half, despite not having any positive substitutes available. This was thanks to their impressive battling and defending skills, as well as their ability to create numerous chances and opportunities to score. They could have even scored more goals in the first half if given the chance.

Those who emerge victorious are the ones who get to document history. As expected, the focus of this game solely revolves around how Man City emerged as the winners, with no attention given to any other aspects.

In my opinion, I believe that Eddie Howe and NUFC did everything they possibly could have, with the exception of converting more opportunities in the initial half of the game.

Interestingly, Isak and Gordon managed to score two goals that were much more challenging compared to some of the other opportunities that Newcastle had during the game.

Had Newcastle United attempted to advance in the latter half similar to our initial half strategy, they (Man City) would have found themselves with immense openings to shoot through, leading to our team getting severely beaten. Additionally, the players would have been excessively exhausted during the final 20 minutes.

The team of Guardiola managed to score three outstanding goals, while we managed to score two. The one scored by De Bruyne was the highlight of the match. His pass was incredibly smart, allowing them to break through our midfield. Unfortunately for NUFC, the ball went through Schar's legs, and if De Bruyne had hit it anywhere else, I don't think he could have scored. This stroke of luck ultimately cost us the game, and if things had gone differently, I believe we could have emerged victorious.

In the previous season, Joelinton and Willock played a significant role in putting pressure on the enemies' midfield, along with Longstaff. They displayed immense energy, running up and down the field and covering every angle. Tonali would have been able to do the same, but with better quality. Both Bruno and Miley lack speed, and even though Gordon is doing well with his defensive work, Willock performed much better in that regard. However, Gordon outperformed Willock in terms of attacking.

I believe that the injuries and absences of certain players this season can mostly be attributed to unfortunate circumstances. There were many unexpected injuries that occurred, and they were quite numerous.

Botman had a rough fall during his match against Liverpool which marked the beginning of his significant injury.

Burn slumped onto his spine after colliding with Arsenal.

Anderson has suffered yet another unfortunate back injury.

Barnes sustained a bizarre injury to his foot during the match against Sheffield United, despite there being no one in close proximity to him.

Murphy and Pope had unexpected shoulder dislocations that caused them to react strongly.

During the League Cup game at Old Trafford, Targett suffered a severe injury despite there being no one around him at the time.

The most recent Joelinton incident occurred because a person from Sunderland pushed him while he was running.

Willock suffered a severe injury towards the end of the previous season, which has proven challenging to recover from.

Wilson remains Wilson and as a result, both him and Isak end up having to play even when they are tired. This is compounded by the fact that they have to play multiple games in a short period of time, which leaves them tired once more.
