Neil Harris

Early Life and Football Career

Neil Harris was born on July 12, 1977, in Orpington, England. He grew up playing football and joined Cambridge United's youth academy at the age of ten. After several years, he joined Millwall's youth academy and quickly climbed up to the senior team in 1998. He played as a striker and became the club's all-time top scorer with 138 goals in all competitions. He also helped Millwall reach the FA Cup Final in 2004, where they lost to Manchester United. Harris retired from playing in 2013 and became a coach.

Coaching Career and Achievements

After his retirement from playing, Neil Harris pursued a career in coaching. He started as an assistant coach at Millwall and later took over as the head coach in 2015. He led the team to the League One play-off final in 2016, where they lost to Barnsley. However, he achieved great success in the following season by leading Millwall to the play-offs again and securing promotion to the Championship. He was named the Championship Manager of the Month in December 2019 for leading Millwall to four wins in five games. Neil Harris remains one of Millwall's all-time legends and a beloved figure among the fans.
