Greece vs England: Nations League - LIVE!

Nations League

Tonight, England desperately needs a win as they head to Athens to take on Greece. The Three Lions are currently in second place in Group B2 of the Nations League, trailing Greece by three points after suffering a surprising loss at Wembley last month. If England ends up in second place in the group, they will have to go through an unwelcome two-legged playoff in March next year.

It would be a disappointing way to kick off life with Thomas Tuchel as the manager, even though he has been named the permanent England coach. Tuchel won’t officially begin his role until January, leaving Lee Carsley to handle the team in the meantime, albeit with a limited selection of players available.

Nine players have pulled out of the team for the last two Nations League games, with notable absences including Bukayo Saka, Cole Palmer, Declan Rice, and Trent Alexander-Arnold. Harry Kane has expressed his discontent with those who he feels have "exploited" the situation before Tuchel officially takes over. Tonight, Kane will start on the bench, while Ollie Watkins takes the lead on the pitch. Players like Curtis Jones, Rico Lewis, and Noni Madueke will have the opportunity to showcase their talents.
