Authorities are currently looking into a post made on social media by Laurence Fox, which featured a picture taken from beneath a female TV presenter's skirt.
The former actor who is now a politician for the Reclaim Party shared a paparazzi snapshot of Narinder Kaur, a popular television personality. This particular photo was apparently taken down from the photo agency's archives after upskirting became a criminal offense. The politician initially posted the picture on X/Twitter on Tuesday and only took it down on Thursday.
The Independent was informed by the Metropolitan Police that they received a notification on social media regarding an up-skirting violation. The police are currently investigating the matter.
In reaction to negative comments about his post, Fox implied that he had shared the photo without being asked to because Ms. Kaur had made fun of commentator Leilani Dowding's conservative views on her social media page.
He stated that the person could play the victim all they want. He was not responsible for their failure to put on pants. He called them a complaining bully who contradicts themselves.
Ms. Kaur, aged 51, frequently appears as a guest on several shows such as Good Morning Britain. Her fame began when she participated in the second season of Big Brother, finishing the show in ninth place.
Prior to the deletion of the tweet, she asserted that numerous users had reported it to X hundreds of times.
On Thursday morning, she posted on her social media account and informed her followers, stating that the issue is now in the hands of the police. Although some people are trying to console her, she is still feeling embarrassed and humiliated. She is devastated that her private moments have been exposed and mocked by others. The entire situation is beyond imaginable and has left her feeling utterly mortified.
According to one of Ms Kaur's companions who spoke to the Daily Mirror, it is utterly revolting that a prominent politician such as Laurence Fox would sink to such despicable actions.
Narinder has consistently conveyed her opinions about the topics that hold significance to her. Though she has faced terrible negative reactions earlier, she never thought of being the victim of such merciless criticism.
I find it terrible that many well-known individuals whom Narinder frequently collaborates with haven't shown their support for Narinder. However, the reality is that they feel fearful.
Recent news reports revealed that Fox has been instructed by a court of law to pay out a substantial sum of £180,000 in compensation following a legal dispute over false accusations he made about two individuals engaging in paedophilia.
The performer was dismissed from GB News for making a misogynistic outburst about journalist Ava Evans during a live broadcast, leading to their suspension in October.
Fox has been reached out to by The Independent for a statement.
