Millie Bobby Brown has made it official that she got married to Jake Bongiovi. They tied the knot in a private ceremony that was kept a secret until this week.
The artist who acted in Strange Things, who is 20 years old, and the fashion model, who is 22, have been associated with each other romantically since 2021 and have declared their plan to get married in April.
Brown and Bongiovi presented themselves in public for the first time since there were speculations about them getting married in the Hamptons on Friday (24th May). They were glad to show their gold wedding bands to the photographers.
According to People, Brown and Bongiovi tied the knot over the weekend in a private celebration. The couple exchanged vows in the presence of their loved ones, including the model's dad, Jon Bon Jovi. The wedding was not publicized, and only their inner circle was invited to the intimate affair.
According to a person who provided information to the media, the ceremony was intimate and romantic, and only the couple's closest family members were in attendance. They exchanged their vows during this event.
According to the article, there will be a modest gathering first, and then a bigger wedding is set to take place later this year.
Back in April 2023, the leading actress of Stranger Things, who was 19 years old at the time, made public her upcoming wedding to Bongiovi with a monochrome image on Instagram. She added a quote from Taylor Swift's song "Lover" as the accompanying caption.
"I've adored you for three summers, darling, and I wish to spend every one of them with you," she penned.
After a period of two months, the couple celebrated their engagement in a private ceremony. They took lovely pictures in the presence of heart-shaped white balloons and a sign that illuminated “Mr & Mrs Bongiovi."
They got engaged after almost two years of announcing their relationship, which they made public in June 2019 by sharing a photo together.
During an interview with The Sunday Times, Brown provided insight into the preparations for her wedding and shared that her lover, who is a rising musician, asked for her hand in marriage using a ring that was passed on to him by her mother, Kelly.
She shared with the media outlet that she has an attachment to that ring for a long time. As a result, Jake received it from her as a gift. Both were involved in planning the proposal. It makes her happy that she can carry a part of her mother always with her through that ring.
Ever since they encountered each other, Brown sensed that she had ultimately found the one she had been looking for.
She remembered saying to her mother excitedly, "I have a big crush on him!" Once they got to know each other, they became inseparable and never wanted to be apart.
Sometimes, you can't explain it in words but you just have a strong gut feeling that the person you are with is the one you want to spend the rest of your life with.
I believe that many people tend to overanalyze things in life. However, when it came to him, everything just made perfect sense to me. Therefore, I didn't have to go through the process of deep thinking.
