Mike Tyson ‘doing great’ after falling ill during weekend flight
Mike Tyson's representatives released a statement saying that the former heavyweight boxing champion fell ill during a flight from Miami to Los Angeles on Sunday. However, Tyson is now recovering from the incident.
According to a statement from his publicist's office, the famous boxer who is 58 years old, felt sick and lightheaded because of a flare-up of an ulcer he was suffering from, and this happened 30 minutes before the plane was supposed to land on Sunday.
Fortunately, Mr. Tyson is doing well, according to the statement. He is grateful to the medical professionals who were present to assist him.
First responders were present at LA International Airport to attend to a passenger's medical needs after American Airlines flight 1815 landed, according to a statement from the airline.
Tyson is getting ready to have a match against the boxer, Jake Paul, who was formerly a popular social media personality and is now 27 years old. The match is set to take place at the enormous 80,000-seat stadium of the Dallas Cowboys during the summer season. The fight will be broadcast live on Netflix, which is a first for the streaming platform.
Tyson held the top spot as the world heavyweight champion from 1987 through 1990. His career ended in 2005, but he made a comeback in November 2020 for an exhibition match against Roy Jones in California.
