Boxing legend Mike Tyson falls ill on American Airlines flight from Miami to Los Angeles

According to his representatives, Mike Tyson is recuperating following a medical emergency that occurred during a plane trip.

On Sunday, according to a statement from his publicist, the ex-heavyweight champion who is 58 years old experienced discomfort due to an ulcer flare up, causing him to feel nauseous and dizzy about 30 minutes before the plane was scheduled to land.

Fortunately, Mr. Tyson is doing well, according to the announcement.

"He feels grateful for the healthcare professionals who were present to assist him."

Medical assistance was provided for a passenger on board American Airlines flight 1815 which had arrived at LA International Airport. This was confirmed by a statement from the airline that stated that first responders were promptly dispatched to the scene.

Tyson is set to have a boxing match against 27-year-old Jake Paul, who started as a YouTuber but switched to boxing. The match is scheduled for 20 July and will take place at the stadium of the Dallas Cowboys, which can accommodate up to 80,000 spectators.

The streaming platform Netflix will broadcast the live fight, marking this as the first time it has aired a sporting event of its kind.
