Career Highlights

Tyson began his professional career as a boxer in 1985. He quickly rose through the ranks, winning his first 19 fights by knockout. In 1986, at the age of 20, he became the youngest heavyweight boxing champion in history when he defeated Trevor Berbick.

Over the course of his career, Tyson won 50 of his 58 professional fights, 44 of them by knockout. He held the undisputed heavyweight champion title from 1987-1990 and was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2011.

Tyson's career was not without its controversies, however. In 1992, he was convicted of rape and served three years in prison. He also faced other legal troubles throughout his career, which often overshadowed his boxing achievements.
