Michelle Yeoh, the Malaysian actress and former Bond girl, has partnered with Swiss luxury watchmaker Richard Mille to create two stunning timepieces.

Yeoh’s partnership with the brand began when she was introduced to Richard Mille by her partner Jean Todt, former director of Scuderia Ferrari.

She had previously only worn big, masculine watches, as she believes that watches are more than just for telling the time, and that women should not only wear small watches.

The first collaboration between Yeoh and Richard Mille was the RM 051.

This jewellery watch has highly technical performance capabilities and decorative features, making it a truly unique timepiece.

Its baseplate is made of onyx, a semi-precious stone, while a diamond-covered phoenix inside the dial moves in harmony with the barrel, power reserve, and tourbillon.

The second timepiece, the ‘Intergalactic’ RM-07-01, is a blend of Richard Mille’s signature tonneau case with advanced technical and material savoir-faire.

Its Carbon TPT material is both super light and strong (like Yeoh herself, according to the actress) and features a variegated pattern, upon which diamonds have been added for an intergalactic sparkle.

The watch includes the CRMA-2 movement with 50 hours of power reserve, hours, minutes, and variable-geometry rotor, all of which are skeletonized.

Yeoh’s watch collection with Richard Mille is truly out of this world and could be making an appearance at the Oscars next.
