A father from Powell, Ohio, brought his children's Halloween dreams to life by crafting a Wonka Mobile from scratch to match their Oompa Loompa costumes. Edgar Escobar, who often features his DIY projects on his YouTube channel, used a bicycle as the foundation for his impressive creation, inspired by the classic 1971 film, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. “We love to embrace creativity at home, especially when it comes to our kids’ ideas,” Escobar shared with Storyful. “This year, they both wanted to dress as Oompa Loompas for Halloween, and after watching their favorite movie repeatedly, the thought struck me. I decided to surprise them with their very own Wonka Mobile.” Escobar mentioned that his children played a significant role in the project, contributing ideas and eagerly anticipating the final product: “They were absolutely thrilled and couldn’t wait to use their new Wonka Mobile for a magical Halloween.” To complete the whimsical design, Escobar added stickers featuring his family as Oompa Loompas and himself as Willy Wonka. Though Halloween celebrations are still happening, Escobar revealed that his kids are already brainstorming ideas for next year’s costumes. Credit: @super_simple_diy via Storyful.
