On Sunday, September 15, the musician's sons—TJ, Taj, and Taryll—posted on Instagram: "It is with great sadness that we share the news that our dear father, Tito Jackson, a Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, has passed away."

"We are in disbelief, deeply saddened, and utterly devastated. Our father was a remarkable person who genuinely cared for others and their welfare."

They added, "His absence will be deeply felt. For us, it will always be 'Tito Time.' Let’s hold onto our dad’s message to always 'Love One Another.' We love you, Dad."

Tito showcased his guitar skills, singing, and dancing as a member of The Jackson 5, rising to stardom during the late 1960s and early 1970s. The group achieved immense success with several number one songs, including "I Want You Back" in 1969, followed by hits like "ABC," "The Love You Save," and "I'll Be There" in 1970.

Tito’s passing occurs merely four days after he honored his brother Michael, who died in June 2009 at the age of 50 due to a heart attack, in an Instagram post.

Tito shared a photo of himself at the Michael Jackson memorial in Munich, Germany, saying: "Before our performance in Munich, my brothers Jackie, Marlon, and I took some time to visit the lovely memorial honoring our dear brother, Michael Jackson."

"We're truly thankful for this unique place that commemorates his memory and reflects the legacy we share. We appreciate your efforts in keeping his spirit alive."

Fans were left in shock and quickly took to the comments on Tito’s post to offer their heartfelt sympathies. One person expressed their sorrow saying, “My heart is shattered for you, Tito, now that your brother is gone.”

Another commenter expressed disbelief, saying, "I can't believe this; please tell me it's not true."

One person expressed their condolences, saying, "Rest in peace, Michael and Tito."

Following Michael's passing, Tito, Jackie, Jermaine, and Marlon toured together in 2012, marking their first concert series as a group in nearly thirty years.

Tito served as a judge on the BBC celebrity singing competition Just the Two of Us and also took on the role of executive producer for the reality series The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty, which showcased the brothers' reunion.

The singer expressed their feelings about touring without Michael, stating, “I don’t believe we will ever adjust to performing without him. We miss him deeply.”

He mentioned that the singer's essence is present during their performances. It brings them a tremendous amount of positive energy and brings joy to their faces.
