Tito Jackson, who was Michael Jackson's brother and a prominent figure at this summer's MacMoray Festival, has passed away at the age of 70.

Only a month back, Tito performed in Elgin alongside his brothers Jackie and Marlon as a member of The Jacksons, captivating audiences with an impressive headline show on Saturday night.

After the performance, Tito expressed to The Northern Scot that the audience in Elgin was “amazing,” and he enjoyed having fans who joined in singing along to his music. The band was looking forward to coming back to the town.

As one of the founding members of The Jackson 5, Tito contributed by playing the guitar and singing harmonies for the group.

His sons announced his death, expressing that they are "stunned, upset, and deeply grieved" by the loss of their father.

Tito's son, Tarryl, took the stage alongside his father at the MacMoray Festival on August 10.
