Christmas wishes from the leader of the council
Cllr Mary Temperton, who heads Bracknell Forest Council, stated:
The holiday season has arrived once more.
It feels like this past year has gone by so quickly, so it's crucial for us to pause and think about everything we've accomplished as a team.
We have approved a new local plan aimed at addressing our housing, employment, and various other requirements until 2037. This summer, we celebrated our community through events such as The Lexicon Bracknell Half Marathon, our culture and community day, and the Pride festivities. Additionally, July brought the general election along with its associated activities and events. As the year progressed, we reached significant milestones on many projects, including the final stages of construction at Bridgewell supported living accommodation. We also celebrated the official opening of the Binfield Health and Community Centre and welcomed the first residents of Coopers Hill as they received their keys!
Christmas is a season for joy, contemplation, and looking forward to the upcoming year. It's also an opportunity to acknowledge and thank those who dedicate themselves to helping our community during this hectic time.
I want to express my sincere gratitude to all those who are working through Christmas to ensure things run smoothly in Bracknell Forest. Whether you’re in the NHS, emergency services, care roles, or part of the council, transportation teams, or volunteers, your commitment is invaluable. We deeply appreciate everything you do!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone sacrificing time with family and friends to care for others, maintain essential services, or assist neighbors in need. Your generosity, dedication, and effort truly make a difference and are deeply appreciated.
On behalf of Bracknell Forest Council, I would like to extend my warmest wishes for a joyful Christmas and a New Year filled with happiness, health, and optimism.
