Carol Vorderman playfully responded to I’m a Celebrity contestant Melvin Odoom after he revealed that he has a crush on her.

Radio host Odoom, who is participating in the latest season of a reality jungle survival show, shared during Tuesday's episode that he would love to ask TV presenter Vorderman out on a date.

“I follow her on Instagram,” he shared with his fellow campers, admitting that he felt too nervous to approach Vorderman when he saw her at the Pride of Britain Awards in October.

N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos suggested to him that Vorderman would value his honesty about his emotions. She then proceeded to teach him how to properly ask someone out.

Odoom and Contostavlos pretended that Contostavlos was Vorderman. The radio host kicked things off with, “Carol, how’s everything? You look amazing, you’re really glowing. I’ve made reservations at a Thai restaurant for next week, and I’ll cover the costs. I’ll send a cab to pick you up around eight o’clock, and I’ll see you there.”

In the Bush Telegraph, O'Doom praised Vorderman, rating her a "perfect 10" and added, "Take a look at your DMs, girl. I’ll be on standby." Subsequently, he updated his official Instagram name to “Melvin Odoom (Future Vorderman)”.

Vorderman swiftly reacted to Odoom's romantic revelation and shared a message during the Wednesday evening episode of I'm a Celebrity... Unpacked.

The Countdown star appeared quite pleased to hear about the crush. She remarked, “Melvin… or should I refer to you as Jungle Man, Melvin Vorderman? Now, let me ask you this: Have you been keeping an eye on me? Because just last night, I enjoyed some Thai food.”

She added, "Jungle man, keep up the great work you're doing. You're doing an amazing job. Catch you later!"

On Thursday, Vorderman shared a post about the online conversation, saying: "Hey there @melvinodoom, or should I call you Melvin Vorderman or Jungle Man? It kind of sounds like 'Vorder Man'!"

"I'm really enjoying watching the campers play around with Melvin in the @imacelebrity jungle, and @tulisacontostavlos, your impression was fantastic! What are your thoughts?" she inquired of her followers.

Fred Sirieix, who was a contestant on I’m a Celeb last year, promptly showed his support for the romantic pairing and suggested that she travel to Australia for when he departs for the jungle.

“Purchase a ticket and head to Oz to meet Melvin on the other side of the bridge. It’s a great situation for everyone involved, in my opinion,” he wrote.

One supporter mentioned, “Everyone in the country is eager to witness this moment,” while another person commented, “We need you to make the trip over there, Carol.”

Another person joked that they were already deciding what hat to wear to the wedding.

"I'm already thinking about what kind of hat to wear for the wedding. Although, since I'm a bridesmaid, I actually don't need one. I'm really excited about this relationship. He’s just wonderful, sis," they shared.
