Melvin Odoom

Carol Vorderman playfully responded to Melvin Odoom from I'm a Celebrity after he revealed that he has a crush on her.

On Tuesday's episode, 44-year-old radio host Melvin shared an unexpected revelation about his celebrity crush with his campmates after they unpacked their luxury items. The next evening, he further indulged the topic by playfully acting out asking the Countdown star out to dinner.

Carol, a dedicated follower of the show, promptly replied by sending a message during a call-in segment on the spin-off program I'm a Celebrity... Unpacked on Wednesday evening.

In a playful voice message, she hinted that he would soon be adopting her surname.

Carol remarked, "Melvin… or should I call you Jungle Man, Melvin Vorderman? Here’s a question for you: have you been keeping an eye on me? Because just last night, I enjoyed some Thai food..."

She went on to say, "Jungle man, continue what you're doing; you're doing amazing work. I'll see you on the other side."

On Wednesday's episode of I'm a Celebrity... Unpacked, Carol Vorderman playfully responded to Melvin Odoom after he confessed that he has feelings for her.

On Tuesday's episode, radio host Melvin, 44, shared his celebrity crush with his fellow campers after they got their luxury items. The following night, he emphasized his feelings even more.

The next day, Carol posted on her Instagram, sharing the video of Melvin confessing his feelings for her along with her reaction.

In addition to her post, she wrote: "Hey there, @melvinodoom! Or should I call you Melvin Vorderman or Jungle Man, which definitely resembles Vorder Man?"

I'm really enjoying watching the campers joke around with Melvin in the jungle, and your impression was spot on! What are your thoughts on it, everyone?

Fans erupted in the comments, expressing their excitement: "The entire country is eager to witness this date"; "You should definitely meet him at the bridge, haha"; "Is this the first time you’re discovering Melvin's real feelings for you?"; "Oh my gosh, this is amazing! Love Melvin!"; "This has been going on for years."

Melvin's feelings for someone became clear when the campers got their special luxury items, chosen this time by their significant others.

While some people got gifts like a bathrobe, an air mattress, or a jar of lotion, Melvin's selection had everyone buzzing.

He received a custom pillow featuring family pictures, including one of Carol in a stunning red leather dress from last year's ITV Palooza in London.

Clearly excited about his new luxury item, Melvin eagerly showed it off to his fellow campers before making his way to the Bush Telegraph to share the reasons why the former Countdown star was deserving of a place on the pillow.

Carol surprised the hosts of I'm a Celebrity... Unpacked—Joel Dommett, Kemi Rodgers, Colson Smith, and Sam Thompson—by calling out: "Melvin... or rather, jungle man Melvin Vorderman!" They were all left utterly speechless.

The next day, Carol hopped on Instagram to post a video of Melvin confessing his feelings for her, along with her reaction.

In addition to her post, she wrote: "Hey there @melvinodoom, or should I call you Melvin Vorderman or Jungle Man, which kind of resembles Vorder Man?"

Fans went crazy in the comments, urging Carol and Melvin to take the next step and confirm their relationship.

Melvin's mom supported her son's statements and expressed that she would really enjoy meeting the celebrity.

Melvin playfully switched his last name to 'Vorderman to be' on his Instagram account.

Melvin mentioned: "My father, my mother, and Carol Vorderman. She's the one I have a crush on."

I've been a big admirer of Carol Vorderman for quite a while now - in fact, I even have a small rap about her.

He then said: "I know an incredible woman who's as refined as a great bottle of wine. The guys just can't grasp how perfect my 10 out of 10 Carol Vorderman is, wow. I want to get to know her better, so check your messages, girl, and I'll be here waiting."

Melvin has always kept his romantic life to himself. In a recent chat, he mentioned, "Finding someone special can be tough. It's important to stay open to possibilities because your ideal partner could come from anywhere. Just relax and let things happen naturally; you can't dictate love."

Carol, who has spent time in the jungle on two occasions, has spoken candidly about her five close companions with whom she shares connections, although she avoids casual encounters.

The speaker mentioned earlier that all of her romantic partners are currently unattached.

She mentioned, "I've had one friend for 11 years and another for seven. My children, Katie who is 33 and Cameron who is 27, are familiar with most of them."

Carol confessed that she enjoys the autonomy and liberty that her arrangement provides. She mentioned that it's perfectly fine if her partners desire a deeper connection, as long as everyone is truthful and has a great time.

Everyone involved is single, and she believes in the idea of 'do no harm.' If anyone were to meet someone else, it would be perfectly acceptable.

She went on to say, "I don’t feel jealousy, and I truly feel joy when my friends are content, regardless of whether they are close friends or not."

Melvin's extravagant possession was a custom-made pillow adorned with family pictures, including a striking image of Carol in a vibrant red leather dress from last year's ITV Palooza in London.

Carol has spent two periods in the jungle herself (shown in a photo from 2016).

My aim in life is to seek happiness rather than focus solely on being in love. I simply find both people and life itself fascinating.

Eventually, you reach a point where you can select the aspects of life that you truly love. In your 30s, that's often difficult because you're focused on building your career and answering to your superiors. However, by the time you hit your 60s…

Carol has been on her own since she ended her relationship with journalist Des Kelly in 2007. She has been married twice before: first to Christopher Mather from 1985 to 1986, and then to Patrick King from 1990 until 2000, who is the father of her two kids.

I'm A Celebrity will air again on Thursday at 9 PM on ITVX and ITV.
