Leadership Rivals Recognized With New Roles

Robert Jenrick, who was narrowly defeated by Badenoch in the last round of voting for the leadership position, has been appointed to the justice department as shadow security of state. Other Conservative leadership contenders James Cleverly and Tom Tugendhat have stepped down from their roles as home secretary and minister of state for security, respectively. Kemi Badenoch is now the leader of the Conservative Party. Additionally, Witham MP Priti Patel has made her way back to the Tory frontbench, taking on the role of shadow foreign secretary. Richard Fuller will also be part of the cabinet as shadow chief secretary to the Treasury.
