Mbappé’s camp dismiss Madrid reports and say striker’s future is to be decided

Kylian Mbappé's agents have rejected the news claiming that the Paris Saint-Germain attacker has committed to transferring to Real Madrid, and asserted that there haven't been any discussions regarding his career yet.

Last summer, Mbappé made it clear that he wouldn't be extending his contract with Parc des Princes for an additional year. As such, the 25-year-old's current contract will expire by June's end, giving him the freedom to sign a pre-contract agreement with clubs from other nations.

Over the weekend, there were rumors that Real, who has been interested in Mbappé for a while now, had finally reached an agreement with his representatives for a transfer. However, on Monday, Mbappé's team denied these reports and made it clear that he will not be rushed into making a decision.

Kylian's representatives have stated that there is currently no consensus on the footballer's future. They have also said that no conversations have yet taken place on the matter. Furthermore, they have made it clear that no outside forces will affect when Kylian will begin to consider his options or make a decision. These choices will be solely up to him.

Real Madrid are still considered the top contenders to land a player they have been pursuing since 2017. They've come to verbal agreements with him twice before, once when he left Monaco and again in 2022 while at PSG. However, rumors suggest that Real Madrid has set a deadline for Mbappé to sign a pre-contract agreement, which expires at the end of the month.

Reports suggest that the French soccer player has informed the president of Paris Saint-Germain, Nasser al-Khelaifi, that he has not yet made a decision about his future. There is still the possibility of him continuing his career in Paris for another season if he chooses to activate the extension option. However, it seems more probable that Mbappé will be changing teams in the upcoming summer, as it is believed that his team has advised Premier League clubs, such as Liverpool, to submit proposals within the next few weeks.
